6 week Yin Yoga program

This is a deep dive into Yin Yoga for beginners, experienced Yogis or anyone wanting to learn tools to use in life to calm the mind and soothe the nervous system when feeling activated.

A 6 week embodied journey to learn variations of the physical Yin Yoga postures while focusing on a different layer of self.

  1. We start with BREATH – week one is an opportunity to connect with the healing power of the breath and learn conscious breathing techniques.
  2. Week 2 we bring the awareness to sensations in the BODY to experience a felt sense of the stress and tension held in the deeper layers and learn techniques to soften, release and improve comfort in the body.
  3. Then we explore the busy-ness in the MIND to learn techniques to turn down the noise in the mind, find gaps between the thoughts and feel peace within.
  4. Week 4 we become curious about EMOTION and how each emotion has a different energetic charge and how unresolved adversity and trauma are stored in our deeper layers.  We practice feeling into the emotional tension held in the physical layers to consciously release stored energy and intense emotions.
  5. Next we will connect with the 7 chakras or ENERGY centres in the body to check in with how we are moving through the world to become curious about how we could flow more smoothly with life.
  6. The final class will be deeply meditative, bringing all the layers together to access the felt sense of SPIRIT – the everpresent place of peace and stillness that is always within and is always accessible if we just learn to    s l o w   d o w n.
